Current situation

The education and training process in our department induce the student to earnestly study and understand present situations of medical laboratory and biotechnology industry, arousing their interests in in the medical laboratory with to biotechnology industry. Therefore, the students have the strong interests and the great ambition and become highly zealous research interest researchers in the biomedicine science and technology. We also develop their abilities in finding and solving problems, reading professional papers as well as establishing the scientific logics and skilled foreign language. Our graduates after graduation, all can engage with the occupation or pursue the advanced studies, which are linked to what they have learnt in school. In graduate's employment population from the 97 to 102 academic year, the data show that, the graduates all can be engaged in work that is linked to the studies in school. And from the survey by the employers of the graduates, the data show that the specialties of our graduates meet the education objective and the education goal set in our department.

To ensure that our graduates’ specialties from school training could enable them become working force in society, they receive the professional tests and counselling by clinically specialized teachers, and take the specialized ability license simulated tests. Through repeats of simulated tests and counselling, the graduates’ specialties are guaranteed and the graduates could pass the license examination after graduation.
In recent years, the simulated tests and counselling plans have graduates pass rate higher than the average rates in the national license examination. And the counselling plan will adjust each year to make up the demands from graduate and the weakness. All previous graduates could use the medic technologies and the biotechnologies and apply to medicine and related domains. Most of them have the quite high proportion, who are engaged the works linked to the studies in the school such as research and development for medic technologies and the biotechnologies, academic research, medic devices as well as the forensic medicine. For the early graduates, the analysis for alumni from 1-10th graduates shows that 31% work as a medical technologist and 24% of them are either in supervisor position or open they own business, and 33% are either doctors of professors in medicine related fields. The analysis for alumni from 25-10th graduates shows that 34%work as a medical technologist , 16% work as technicians in medical technology and biotechnology fields , 3% works as specialists and 36% of them are still in advanced study. The occupational distribution demonstrates that our department has incubated the specialties in medical technology and biotechnology fields. They not only display outstanding works, but also are in the higher supervisor positions. These observations illustrate that our department cultivate the personals for the needs of society as well as for industries and academics.

From the analysis of graduates, the occupation linked to medical technology and biotechnology fields are considered as high relevance, and the professors in medical fields, and technician are considered as medium relevance and doctors as well as executive assistants are considered as low relevance, and lastly others are considered as little relevance.
